What we build

Apex Construct is a licensed, insured construction company based in Nashville. We started with custom sheds — and still build more of them than anything else — but the same crew, the same framing standards, and the same finish quality go into everything on this page.

The services below fall into two groups: the ones with a full page of details, photos, and pricing factors, and the ones we quote project-by-project. Either way, the first step is the same — tell us what you're picturing and we'll give you a straight answer on cost and timeline.

Our core builds

These are the projects we do week in, week out.

Everything else we take on

Quoted per project. Ask about any of these when you request a quote.

Pavilions

A pavilion is a pergola's weatherproof cousin — a freestanding roof over your patio, pool deck, or outdoor kitchen. We frame them with the same posts-in-concrete approach as our pergolas, then add a real shingle or metal roof with proper slope and gutters if you want them. If you're deciding between the two: a pergola filters sun, a pavilion stops rain.

Garages

Detached garages and oversized storage buildings, from the slab up. Structurally these are big brothers to our custom sheds — same siding options, same trim standards — but with vehicle doors, heavier headers, and a concrete pad designed for the load. If you need to park a truck, a mower, and a workshop under one roof, this is the build.

Outdoor living

Outdoor rooms, storage walls, utility enclosures, built-in benches, privacy screens — the projects that don't have a catalog name. This is where "you dream it, we build it" gets tested, and we haven't lost yet. Bring us a photo from the internet or a sketch on a napkin; we'll tell you what it takes to build it in your yard.

Remodeling

Interior and exterior remodeling handled by the same crew that does our ground-up builds. Because we frame for a living, we're comfortable with the parts of a remodel that scare people — moving walls, fixing sagging floors, correcting somebody else's shortcuts. We'll tell you up front what's cosmetic and what's structural.

Framing

Structural framing for additions, outbuildings, and repairs. Square, plumb, crowned joists facing the right way, and nailing patterns to code — the stuff that determines whether drywall cracks in two years. We also do sistering and repair work where rot or a bad previous job needs correcting.

Siding

Installation and repair of James Hardie fiber cement, LP SmartSide, and vinyl siding. The product matters less than the details: kick-out flashing, correct clearances off the roofline, sealed cut edges, and straight courses. We side every shed we build, so this is muscle memory for our crew.

Trim & finish carpentry

Fascia, soffit, corner boards, window and door casing, and the exterior details that make a build look intentional instead of assembled. Good trim is mostly patience and sharp blades; we bring both. Often bundled with siding work or a paint-ready handoff.

Fencing

Wood privacy and picket fences with posts set in concrete below the frost line, rails crowned up, and gates that still swing true after a few summers. We build fences the way we build everything else — like we'll drive past it every day and have to look at it.

Roofing

Shingle and metal roofing for the structures we build, plus repairs and re-roofs on sheds, garages, porches, and awnings. Correct underlayment, drip edge, and flashing at every wall transition — because a roof that's 95% right is a roof that leaks.

General construction

Licensed and insured general construction for the projects that don't fit a neat category: structural repairs, small additions, load-bearing changes, or the punch list nobody else wants. If it involves lumber, fasteners, and doing it to code, send it our way and we'll quote it honestly — including telling you if we're not the right fit.
